Born in Argentina to French parents, Patricio Gouguenheim`s love for wine started at the age of 7, when his father began to let him taste some at mealtimes mixed with sparkling water. No doubt this was a catalyst for him entering the world of wine later on life.

But it wasn’t until 2002 when he found his dream winery in Tupungato, an old property with great views of the Andes mountains, a really unique soil and irrigation system. In the inside, a lot of small concrete tanks, perfect for making high-quality, site-focused wines. It was the perfect location, so Patricio decided to abandon a successful career in finance to become a wine producer and start with his family winery.

‘I never regret, even for a minute, what we’ve done. I wanted a change in my quality of life and

to create a family business. To produce something which I am proud of. That is why we use our name in our wines. I have my sons working by my side and my grandchildren are already enjoying the winery.’
